Whilst originally only for the back[packers Hostel accommodation has, over the last ten years, improved immensely and now provides cheap, clean accommodation in locations all over the world. Rooms are often of a dormitory fashion but not always so and provide the traveller with somewhere to stay at prices way below that offer by Hotels. Do not expect room service of a Full English Breakfast and it is possible that you may have to share toilet facilities but apart from that they offer great value accommodation. Great for single travellers and those on a tight budget.
