Whilst the world has shrunk due to today's ease of travel to virtually everywhere one should remember that problems abroad, be it health, losses, accidents and evenpPublic liability claims can still happen for which the traveller has little or no defence unless insured. Whilst you may well be covered in many countries with reciprocal health care schemes (see our health Information page for more details) there is no protection for such incidences as an air ambulance being required to bring you home, liability claims for accidents allegedly caused by you, the need to return home early due to sickness of a family member or business partner, loss of all your money/possessions and many more things besides.
